Song of the Day (Dec. 19): Jailhouse Rock

On this day in 1957, the King Elvis Presley was given his draft notice to serve in the U.S. Army. Many people don’t know that Elvis, in addition to being the king of rock and roll, also served his country. He was part of the 32nd Tank Battalion Armor Corps based in Germany.
