NBA DraftKings Tips for 12/25/18

Merry Christmas Sports Chief readers!! With all the hustle and bustle of the Holiday season, it is nice to have some NBA playing in the background…am I right? The superstars of The Association will be in full force today, and it is up to us to decide who will reap the most DFS benefits! I am determined to GIFT you the best lineup I possibly can, and if you play in today’s $1M NBA Holiday Classic on DraftKings…you my friend could be $200K wealthier.
No matter how much we love to quote Christmas Vacation…I cannot go with Russ(ell) Westbrook today…I am however going with (N)Joel Embiid at $9,500. See what I did there…ha. Anyway…Joel Embiid is bound to provide solid value at his under $10K price. Al Horford has the task of stopping him, and I love that matchup. This is a tournament strategy, as I think Embiid will be lowly picked compared to people like LeBron or James Harden. Noel…I mean Joel…will be the first Joel, and the highest scoring player of the day.
How is Damian Lillard priced below $8K?!?!?! Even though he will be chalk, I have to go with Damian. DK is giving everyone a present with this choice at $7,800. The game has the lowest over/under of the day at 214, but I still look for Damian to drop 40+ DK points. On the Utah side, I am going with Rudy Gobert at $7,200. I was making my lineup, and I typically liked to pick the lower tier players first, then eliminate…Gobert was in my price range at the Utility spot. “The Stifle Tower” will grant us 4 blocks tonight, and a plethora of rebounds from the wildly shooting guard CJ McCollum.
What better present to have than an amazing 3-point shooter?!?! That’s right…JJ Redick at $5,100 will be rolling in my lineup today. JJ is playing a Boston team that tends to give up some 3-pointers to Guards. I expect the Celtics to go after Jimmy Butler, leaving JJ open for some shots. Gift us 5 three’s JJ.
My stocking stuffer choice will be D.J. Wilson at $3,700. The former First Round draft choice is getting more run as Ersan Ilyasova is out for a while with a broken nose. Giannis is going to be a popular choice I believe, and what I am hoping for is for Bucks to go up early, leaving plenty of court time for Wilson.
