NBA DraftKings Tips for 1/16/19

The Sports Chief needs to get out of this slump. I have been pretty solid with my anchors, but other than that…I haven’t done so well. CJ McCollum was a no-show last outing as well as some others. Let’s win $4,000 in DK’s Pick and Roll tourney tonight.

My anchor for this evening will be KD…he is at $9,800 and facing an up-tempo Pelicans squad. He averages 50 DK points which is great, and is reliable night after night. I think this is a matchup problem for the Pelicans, as I am not sure who can contain him. I look for Solomon Hill to get a start possibly tonight, but that won’t stop Durant.

I am riding the…wait for it…Brooklyn Nets tonight. Yes, I said it…the Nets. Houston is in shambles defensively and all they care about is giving Harden 60 points. Spencer Dinwiddie has been slumping, but I like his $5,400 price. He averages nearly 30 DK points a night, and I feel like he could drop 20 instantly. I am going with Joe Harris at $4,600 and DeMarre Carroll at $5,000. Harris is a defensive force who will have the task of stopping Harden, and I think he will do okay. Carroll’s last game was un-impressive offensively…but somehow, he managed 34 DK points. He was 2-15 from the field, but turned in an impressive DFS game nonetheless.

Damian Lillard is probably not playing tonight vs. Cleveland, so I am going back with CJ McCollum. Surely, he can manage more than 6 points, right? I am looking for him to put up 20+ shots and hopefully be a bargain choice at $6,600.
