The Chief's Streak

Here we go, the ‘Canes took care of business yesterday 8-2 and we are rolling again with a W3. Now our longest streak has been a W4…twice this month, I think we can get over the hump today. I will be going with two picks today in hopes that we can make a W5 happen!

The first pick will be a prop one. Streak has given us pick that states…”Which TEAM will receive the BETTER RANKING by the CFP Selection Committee?” Baylor and Minnesota are the choices and it seems pretty clear to me to go with the Golden Gophers of Minnesota. They are coming off of a great win against Penn State and undefeated at (9-0). Minnesota is also ranked #7 nationally, while Baylor is #12 in the AP Poll and #10 in the Coaches poll. Baylor also struggled with TCU this weekend. and Baylor doesn’t have a win versus a ranked opponent this season. This is a risky pick as we are relying upon the CFP selection committee to make the decision.

For our final pick, I am going back to the NHL. We were very successful yesterday as the Carolina Hurricanes had it in the bag early. Today, I will be going with the St. Louis Blues vs. the Phoenix Coyotes. St. Louis is favored at (-160) and they are the home team. Phoenix played last night and trends tend to point to a loss after back-to-back road games…being that the Coyotes have lost after a win each time this season and won after a loss. Now that still pertains to back-to-back contests of course. The reigning Stanley Cup champ Blues are on a 7-game winning streak and I think that continues.
