Song of the Day: Columbus Stockade Blues

Happy Friday to everyone! I hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving and are getting ready for the Christmas time! Today’s song of the day comes from another Willie’s Roadhouse inspiration…and it is by the man himself Willie Nelson. The song is entitled “Columbus Stockade Blues” and was featured on his 1966 album called “Country Favorites-Willie Nelson Style”. This song was originally performed in 1927 by Tom Darby and Jimmie Tarlton and is a fast-paced and short song (Darby and Tarlton’s version wasn’t so much). I will attach both versions so you can get a feel for 1920’s country. Willie does a nice job on this one and I hope you enjoy the song!
