The Chief's Streak
Let me start with a little rant about our result last night. How in the world does a team lead by Eric Paschall take down a team that made the conference finals last season and albeit a few pieces missing, a team that was nearly at full-health. Golden State stole one last night and it appears Steve Kerr has an excellent player in Paschall who was a former Villanova standout. The Blazers on the other hand are in trouble…if you cannot take down the INSANELY injured Warriors, then you’ll probably have your hands full in making the playoffs in a tough Western conference. Terrible…just terrible.
On that note, today is a new day and we start our streak anew! Today marks the beginning of College Basketball and that is the direction The Chief will be going. Georgia Tech will be traveling to Raleigh to play the NC State Wolfpack. The Yellow Jackets are 8.5 point underdogs and even though the Wolfpack may be the favorite to win, I like Georgia Tech to keep it within double-digits. Georgia Tech only won 14 games last season and they are also banned from postseason play for one year, but with all of that negative they do have a positive…all 5 starters from last year are returning, so they do have experience on their side. I do believe the Wolfpack take care of business, but hopefully the Atlanta technical college can keep it within 10.
