Song of the Day: Pretty Paper

Happy Friday the 13th everyone! Let’s keep the Christmas spirit going with this classic written by Willie Nelson… “Pretty Paper”. Now, the first artist to perform this song was my boy Roy Orbison in 1963. The song was recorded in London with an orchestra and made it to #7 on the UK charts. In the autobiography “Willie Nelson” by Joe Nick Patoski, it says that Orbison recorded the song with a 102 degree temperature as well. I have decided to put that version up in case you have not heard this one. I know I have said this before, but Roy Orbison is one of my favorite artists and he had such a unique and genuine sound that is hard to match.
