Today’s song of the day is a classic. “Mammas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys” is a song originally written and recorded by Ed Bruce in 1975. It was a huge hit and is even featured in Netflix’s popular show “The Ranch” as its opening theme song. It was covered by Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson three years later on their album titled, Waylon & Willie, which is the version I chose for today’s song. It was extremely popular as well, spending four weeks at the top of the country music charts. There’s no doubt this is one of the best country and western songs ever made. Enjoy!
