NBA DraftKings Tips 2/22/19
After a long break of NBA action, we are back with our NBA DFS advice! We have a 9-game slate in store tonight, and injuries should not be a major problem when making lineups. Hopefully none of my guys are wearing Nike PG 2.5’s tonight and we can get some solid usage. I will be implementing a low-risk strategy for this slate, maybe we can bring some cash in.
Technically speaking, Andre Drummond is my anchor tonight. He is priced at $9,000 and he has a great matchup. The Atlanta Hawks are the league’s worst defense, and they have a rookie PG who shoots 40.6% from the field. The league’s best rebounder will be feasting on the missed shots and it’s not out of the question for Drummond to have a 20/20 night.
My favorite choice of the night is DeMar DeRozan at $7,300. This will be an emotional game for DeRozan, as he will be returning to Toronto. It would not be out of the question for the former Raptors legend to put on a clinic. Everyone knows that DeRozan wanted to stay in Toronto for his entire career, so he will surely make them miss him. He may be chalky, but to get a guy who scores in “gobs” for sub $7,500…is seriously a gift from DK.
Minnesota vs. New York has tons of value, being that the over/under is 216.5, the scoring could be a premium. To me…I think the over is a great bet tonight…but anyway…I like Jeff Teague at $5,900 and Dario Saric at $4,800. Teague is a cheap double-double potential guy, and Saric is averaging 33.3 DK points in his past two outings.
The bargain choice of the night is Luke Kennard at $4,000. This is a pretty safe choice, as he is the starting SF for the Pistons and has scored 20+ DK points in his last three games. Kennard is an elite scorer and if I can get 20+ point return…I love that value.
