AEW Fyter Fest Predictions

AEW

AEW

AEW’s second PPV event is tonight and it should be another action-packed wrestling event. Fyter Fest is taking place in Daytona Beach, Florida. The newest major wrestling promotion is gaining a lot of traction on social media and the brand is becoming bigger each day. A couple weeks ago, their upcoming event in August sold out within 15 minutes and it was reported that nearly 138,00 fans attempted to get tickets to the Chicago PPV. Fyter Fest should solidify their status as a big-name player in the wrestling world and further promote their product moving forward. This event is free on B/R Live and it should be a great show.

 *Predicted winners are Bolded

-      Triple Threat Tag Team Match

Best Friends vs. SoCal Uncensored vs. Private Party

This match is in the Buy-In show and a couple of these teams were in the Double or Nothing PPV in May. This is a heck of a match for a pre-show and the winner receives a first-round bye into the AEW World Tag Team Championship tournament. The winner of the tournament will obviously become the new Tag Team Champions, but the titles haven’t been unveiled yet. I don’t know anything about Private Party, but between SoCal and Best Friends, SoCal winning makes the most sense. Other than The Young Bucks, they seem to have the most traction as a team. I have Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky getting the win.

-      Women’s Singles Match

Kylie Rae vs. Leva Bates (w/ Peter Avalon)

This match may or may not be on the card. It was advertised earlier, but it doesn’t look like it is on the AEW website as of this morning, so just for the heck of it, I’m going to predict it anyway. Anything other than a Kylie Rae win doesn’t make a ton of sense here. It is obvious that they’re trying to give her a push and deservingly so. She had a big chance to showcase her talent at Double or Nothing and looked impressive. Smiley Kylie takes the win here and move on to solidify her name into the Women’s title picture.

-      Men’s Singles Hardcore Match

Michael Nakazawa vs. Alex Jebailey

AEW

AEW

Here we will get another inside look at AEW’s edgier product. Hardcore matches haven’t been promoted on a big scale in a while in wrestling and AEW will look to capitalize on the opportunity. They had a backstage scene involving Nakazawa and Matt Jackson at Double or Nothing, which gives me the idea that they will try to push him. Having him win in this Hardcore Match will make him a bigger name within the company. There is a lot of potential in this match and hopefully we see an old school ECW style brawl here.

-      Men’s Fatal 4-Way Match

Adam Page vs. Jimmy Havoc vs. Jungle Boy vs. MJF

AEW

AEW

I think this match will kick off the main portion of the show and to be honest, this has the potential to be match of the night. With that being said, the two competitors that have the best chance of winning are MJF and Hangman Page. I think MJF takes the win here to gain more momentum, but Page could win to give him a bigger push going into his AEW World Championship match against Chris Jericho at All Out. MJF and Page are definitely the wrestlers with the most potential and will look to become AEW’s top stars in a matter of a couple of years. No matter what happens, this should be an exciting matchup.

-      Men’s Singles Match

Christopher Daniels vs. Cima

AEW

AEW

This is probably the most difficult match on the card to predict. Christopher Daniels of SoCal Uncensored and Cima of Strong Hearts are squaring off in this contest and I predict that they will continue the push for SoCal Uncensored. Many people are predicting Cima as the winner, but I think they have to change at least one or two predictable possible outcomes and I think that they do it here.

-      Women’s Triple Threat Match

Yuka Sakazaki vs. Riho vs. Nyla Rose

AEW

AEW

They should keep this match interesting, but I feel like this could be a total squash. Nyla Rose appears to be getting a push and a win here makes the most sense. Riho and Sakazaki a had great back and forth at Double or Nothing when they fought against each other in their 6-Woman Tag match and it should be more of the same here.

-      Men’s Singles Match

Cody vs. Darby Allin

AEW

AEW

After a spectacular match at Double or Nothing, Cody will be back in action against Darby Allin. I haven’t seen odds for this event, but I suspect that Cody is a huge favorite. I haven’t seen Allin wrestle, but I have heard great things about him. This could be another great story telling match, but we shall see tonight. I don’t expect it to come close to Cody vs. Dustin, but Cody is one of the best wrestlers in the world and Allin is a huge risk-taker, so it should make for an exciting matchup.

-      Men’s Singles Match

Jon Moxley vs. Joey Janela

AEW

AEW

Moxley is arguably the biggest star in AEW at the moment and him losing this bout doesn’t make sense. Joey Janela is definitely the future, but Moxley is the present. This will be Moxley’s first match in AEW and he will have the IWGP United States Championship in his possession during his debut match. Janela will get an opportunity to shine, but I don’t think he has a real chance of winning this contest.

-      6-man Tag Team Match

The Elite vs. Lucha Brothers and Laredo Kid

AEW

AEW

I don’t know if this will be the main event, but it makes sense. The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega are teaming up to take on Rey Fénix, Pentagón Jr, and Laredo Kid. The Elite winning this match makes the most sense, but the Lucha Brothers are not a team to mess around with. This obviously has Match of the Night potential and having Kenny Omega included in this match automatically makes it one of the most anticipated contests of the night. There will be a lot of high-flying action in this match and it shouldn’t disappoint.
