Song of the Day: All Of My Love

This song is just one of the many examples of why I love Led Zeppelin. They are one of the most, if not the most, versatile rock band of all time. Few songs sound the same with Zeppelin. All Of My Love appeared on Led Zeppelin’s last album in 1979, In Through The Out Door, before the passing of drummer John Bonham in 1980 and the band calling it quits. While it may sound like a love ballad at first, the song actually has a much sadder meaning as it was a song written by lead singer Robert Plant in honor of his 5 yr old son who had suddenly passed away 2 years earlier while the band was on tour. It’s such a great song and I can’t think of a better tribute song. Long live Led Zeppelin.
