Song of the Day: Only God Knows Why

When you think of Kid Rock, you don’t think of the melody that encompasses this song. Your mind likely goes to tunes like Bawitdaba. But Kid Rock does a great job with this slow song and its always been one of my favorites by him. “Only God Knows Why” was released almost exactly 20 years ago (October 9, 1999) on his album titled Devil Without a Cause. A few fun facts about the song: Several of the lines were written while he was in jail after a bar fight, the song peaked at #19 on the Billboard Hot 100, and was named the 19th greatest power ballad ever by VH1 in 2002.
