Song of the Day: The Letter

Happy Sunday everyone. I heard this song on the radio the other day, but it was performed by Joe Cocker instead. I don’t believe I have ever heard his version before this week, but after I heard it, I had to go back to the original from The Box Tops and listen to it also. Both versions are solid and I will include both in today’s article. The song reached number one for The Box Tops back in 1967. Also, another interesting fact about The Box Tops, they’re actually an American band based out of Memphis. I always assumed they were British, because they sound exactly like those British bands back in the day. I hope you all have a great Sunday.
