Ladies and Gentlemen…it is that time of year again. The Daytona 500 is upon us and the NASCAR Cup Series will be underway today! NASCAR has changed a little from last season as Monster Energy is no longer the main sponsor of the series. There will be a tiered sponsorship deal that will have partners like Busch Beer, Coca-Cola, Geico and Xfinity involved. Also, restrictor plates are no more (forgive me for calling Daytona and Talladega restrictor plates in the video). This actually took place last season…but I digress. Daytona is exciting because it is truly the greatest spectacle that NASCAR racing has to offer and anyone can win. Pack racing success is a skill that requires patience and being in the right place at the right time. Kyle Busch is the favorite to win at 8/1 according to Oddsshark.com. If Busch were to win…it would be his first Daytona 500 victory. My value pick would be Ryan Preece at 80/1…its clear that JTG Daugherty has good horsepower with Ricky Stenhouse Jr getting the pole…so why can’t Preece compete?
