Happy Wednesday everyone! Today’s song of the day is “Outstanding” by The Gap Band, and is brought to you by our guy Greazy Keyz, the organist for the Charlotte Checkers. This song was released on the album Gap Band IV in 1982 and became one of the band’s biggest hits. It went on to reach the top spot on the U.S. R&B Singles Chart in 1983 and the 51st spot on the Billboard Hot 100. You gotta love its funky groove and feel-good melody.
