Song of the Day: Night Fever

We’re going back to the 70s today, but instead of the 70s music we normally post, we’re going disco-style today. This song was released by the Bee Gees in 1978 and became widely popular. It shot up to #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, where it stayed for about two months. And if you didn’t know, it was written for the disco movie Saturday Night Fever, starring John Travolta. I don’t think we’ve featured any disco music yet for Song of the Day, and while I’m not the biggest disco fan, I wanted to share it because it’s a groovy tune and represents such a unique time period in our country’s history.
