AEW Power Rankings: Week of March 28th 2020

Another ratings win over NXT and it looks like AEW will be in the driver’s seat for quite a while. This was another weird episode, but yet again, it was good. I won’t go into to detail about each wrestlers ranked this week, but it was a fun week.

-5: Kenny Omega

Omega had a match against Sammy Guevara this week on Dynamite and it was a great match. The match was for the AAA Mega Championship which was weird to see and partly the reason why Omega is rated 5th this week. Great match, would’ve been a better rating if it were an AEW title on the line.

-4: Cody

Cody pulled double-duty this week on commentary and in the ring. He defeated Jimmy Havoc in the opening match of the night and then proceeded to do commentary. Good week for Cody.

-3: Jake Hager

The Big Hurt Jake Hager put on a dominating performance this week against Chico Adams. Chico didn’t stand a chance. Hager looks poised to be the next in line for Moxley’s AEW belt and it will be a great matchup when the time comes.

-2: Matt Hardy/Chris Jericho

In the closing stages of the show. Chris Jericho cut a promo on a drone. Yes, you heard that right. It was wonderfully done by the way. I guess it depends on how you feel about Hardy’s gimmick to buy into this segment, but I love Broken Matt Hardy, so they’re sharing the number 2 spot for the week.

-1: Brodie Lee

AEW

AEW

Formerly known as Luke Harper, Brodie Lee is the Exalted One and is ready to take everyone in his path down. His entrance to AEW has been very good so far and hopefully this continues. This week, he defeated QT Marshall in very quick fashion and I expect the next couple of weeks to look very similar.
