Song of the Day: All the Way
I miss baseball. We should have been just a couple weeks into the season so far, but it feels like a lot longer since we’ve not had America’s pastime. Enjoy this awesome song from Evanston, Illinois native and lifelong Cubs fan Eddie Vedder, whether you’re a Cubs fan or not. Vedder wrote the song in 2007 after being urged by Ernie Banks to do so, and it was released as a single in 2008 (100 years after the previous Cubs’ World Series). It instantly became a beloved and classic Chicago sing-a-long song, and the lyrics became a reality eight years later when the Cubs beat the Indians in seven games to finally break the curse and “go all the way.”
