WWE Power Rankings: Week of May 4th

I will spare you the Star Wars inspired “holiday” introduction, but I will say happy Eve of Cinco de Mayo or Quatro de Mayo. In 6 days, we will be tuning in to Money in the Bank and it should be a fun week of programs, but last week, all shows were solid. Here are the Rankings for the week.

10: Liv Morgan

Morgan had a good week. She picked up a big win against former stablemate, Ruby Riott.

9: Sheamus

It was a squash for Sheamus, but his input on the Jeff Hardy vignette was what sold Sheamus for this Top 10 appearance.

8: Forgotten Sons

Forgotten Sons picked up a huge win against the SmackDown Tag Champs on Friday. They will be at Money in the Bank for a shot at the belts. It is also cool to note that there is a local in the Forgotten Sons. Jaxson Ryker is from Hickory, NC. It would be cool to see him get a title this quickly into his main roster debut.

7: Otis

Otis earned a spot in the MITB ladder match by defeat Dolph Ziggler. The match wasn’t awesome, but the fact that Otis will be in the match is awesome.

6: Jinder Mahal

Finder Mahal returned to action last Monday after missing a good chunk of time due to injuries. He beat Akira Tozawa and it will be cool to see the former WWE Champion earn his way back into a bigger picture.

5: Charlotte Flair

The Queen beat Mia Him on NXT and it looks like she will have her hands full with Io Shirai this week. She is facing a lot of main event NXT talent very quickly, which tells me that she won’t be champion for a lot longer.

4: Keith Lee

Keith Lee retained his NA Championship by beating Damian Priest on Wednesday. We are reminded how good he can be with a formidable opponent. It will be interesting to see how long his reign lasts.

3: Carmella

Carmella earned her way into the MITB ladder match and she is no stranger to the match. She has won the match twice. She defeated Mandy Rose on Friday to earn her spot.

2: Bray Wyatt/Braun Strowman

This has been the best feud since WrestleMania, but I don’t think it will last any further than Money in the Bank. If The Fiend were facing Strowman I would say Wyatt will be your new champ without a doubt, but knowing that it is just plain Wyatt, I have my doubts.

1: Drew McIntyre/Seth Rollins

Out of the main feuds, this was the best of the week. Neither superstar had a clear advantage, so i’m giving them a tie for number one. I fully expect McIntyre to retain on Sunday.
