Song of the Day: For Whom The Bell Tolls
For Whom The Bell Tolls by Metallica. For those that wanted to get pumped up and get a morning workout in, here you go. Metallica has a lot of pump up music but this has to be the best one in my opinion. For Whom The Bell Tolls appeared on Metallica’s second studio album Ride The Lightning which was released in 1984. One thing I never realized until recently is just how young Metallica was when Ride The Lightning was released. The two co-founders of the band, lead singer and guitarist James Hetfield, and drummer Lars Ulrich were just 20 years old when this album was released. Yes, you read that right, 20 years old. The other two band members, Cliff Burton and Kirk Hammett, were 22 and 21 years old. That’s just insane to me that a couple of 20 year olds could produce an album like this. Insane.
