Song of the Day: Band on the Run

I’ve always loved this song by Paul McCartney and Wings. It was recorded in 1973 and released the following year, going on to become a major hit all over the world, reaching #1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. McCartney wrote the song after being inspired by a comment from ex-bandmate George Harrison (while still together) about “escaping” many nuisances that came with being a very popular band.
