Song of the Day: Wake Me Up When September Ends

Well, the last day of September is here, so Green Day’s “Wake Me Up When September Ends” is a fitting song to welcome in the month of October. It’s hard to believe this song was released in 2005. I can remember how popular it was at the time and it doesn’t feel like it’s been 15 years. Here in the United States, the song has been dedicated to those impacted by the tragedies of 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina. And some even deem this song to be a sequel to the band’s earlier hit, “Good Riddance (Time of Your Life).” I hope everyone had a great September and is looking forward to October!
