Song of the Day: Hard Charger
It is Daytona 500 time yet again and it’s going to be another exciting year of NASCAR this time around. Last year at this time, I posted a song that was performed by 3-time Daytona 500 winner, Dale Jarrett. This year, I’m gonna go a similar route and pick a driver that was on the same World Series of Country Music Proudly Presents Stock Car Racing’s Entertainer’s of the Year album. The album name in itself is an event, but each song is performed by former drivers and people surrounding NASCAR back in 1985. Today’s song will be performed by none other than the late, great Dale Earnhardt Sr., the 1998 winner of the Daytona 500. Sadly though, in a few days, it will be the 20th anniversary of his death. While it was, without a doubt, the darkest day in NASCAR history, a lot of positive has come of it, especially when it comes to the safety of the sport. I don’t want to leave on a sad note, so looking at today’s race, Denny Hamlin is the favorite to win, but my pick to win is Joey Logano. He has had a good history at the race and is a former 500 winner. Have a great day everyone and tune in to FOX at 2:30pm for the live broadcast of the biggest race of the year.
*Also, check out The Sports Chief’s brand new NASCAR DFS video. We cover the 500 and share our lineups from DraftKings and FanDuel. Also, I make my debut in front of the camera, so maybe don’t watch it. Just kidding, watch away. Like, share, subscribe and stay up to date on all of the content that The Sports Chief has to offer. We offer a variety of content.
