Song of the Day: Midnight Train to Georgia

I’ve always really liked this song by Gladys Knight and the Pips. And so did a lot of other people, because it went all the way to the top spot on the Billboard Hot 100 after its release in 1973. It won a Grammy the following year in 1974 and currently ranks #439 on Rolling Stone’s “500 Greatest Songs of All-Time” list. The vocals, the rhythm, and overall feel this song provides are all great. It’s one of those songs you just can’t help but sing along to.
