Song of the Day: Soul To Squeeze
Soul to Squeeze by The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Originally recorded for the band’s 1991 album Blood Sugar Sex Magik, Soul to Squeeze was actually left off the album and wasn’t released until 1993 when it was on the B-side of Under The Bridge and Give It Away singles. The song was also used the same year for the soundtrack of the Saturday Night Live movie Coneheads. Despite not being featured on an actual album from the band, it went on to chart in multiple countries and even made it #1 on the US Alternative chart. Soul to Squeeze would finally get the justice it deserved when the band released a greatest hits album in 2003, and the song finally featured on an album.
