Elimination Chamber (2021) Predictions

WWE

WWE

Elimination Chamber is here, and two big matches will be held in the confines of the Elimination Chamber. These matches are always interesting not only because things can drastically change before WrestleMania, but the fact that there can be a lot of destructive action in the ring. It is also worth noting that this will be the last WWE PPV on the WWE Network in the United States, so cherish this last one before it moves to Peacock. So far, there are 6 matches on the card, but things can change leading into the day of the event. We should find out more info as the day progresses, but I think that there are a lot of good matches on the card. I feel like we could see a title shakeup tonight. There aren’t many odds out for the matches, but I’ll do the best that I can without some of them. Here are my predictions.

*Predicted Winners are bolded

*Card is likely not in exact order

-       Women’s Tag Team Match: WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship

Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler (C) vs. Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair

WWE

WWE

This one feels too obvious, but it wouldn’t exactly be that crazy for Banks and Belair to win here. I don’t think it’s going to happen, because it feels like they’re trying to get us to think that Belair and Banks will somehow not be on the same page in the contest. I think someone will screw something up during the match and will ultimately cost them the chance to become tag team champions. And I think this will happen because they will face each other at WrestleMania. Again, this feels obvious, but who knows? There aren’t any odds for the match and I think that is because it was only announced a couple days ago, but I think the reigning champions should be viewed as favorites here.

-       Women’s Singles Match: RAW Women’s Championship

Asuka (C) vs. Lacey Evans?

WWE

WWE

WWE.com still has this match on the card and it will be interesting to see what happens here. Lacey Evans announced that she is pregnant on RAW this Monday and apparently, she actually is. Personally, I’ll believe it when I see, because she plays her gimmick so well it is difficult to tell. This match is still on the card, so I feel like this is all a big work. We’ll see though. If she isn’t able to compete, I think Peyton Royce is probably the favorite to face Asuka tonight or we could see Charlotte Flair getting tormented by Evans. I’m not going to predict a winner for the match, because it feels weird predicting something that may not happen.

-       Men’s Triple Threat Match: United States Championship

Bobby Lashley (C) vs. Riddle vs. Keith Lee

WWE

WWE

This match has the making of Match of the Night, but I don’t know if they will get the proper time for it to happen. At this point, this seems like a very evenly match contest. Lashley is the favorite going into the match at -200, but I have a feeling that he loses the belt tonight. Riddle seems like the most likely guy to win tonight, but it is difficult to bet against Keith Lee. I think Riddle goes into WrestleMania as the champ, but who knows? This is a tough match to predict.

-       Men’s Elimination Chamber Match: Number One Contender for Universal Championship

Kevin Owens vs. Daniel Bryan vs. King Corbin vs. Cesaro vs. Jey Uso vs. Sami Zayn

WWE

WWE

This is a really interesting twist to an already interesting show. The winner of the Elimination Chamber match will go on to face Roman Reigns later tonight. There are a lot of solid performers here and in all honesty, I could see any of these guys facing Roman tonight. I think you can probably rule out about half of them though, because it wouldn’t really make sense for Roman to face a strong heel. KO, Bryan, and Cesaro have the best shots to win tonight and I think any of those three would put on a wonderful match against the champ, but I think it is Daniel Bryan’s night to win. We have seen KO and Roman a lot as of late and they have done a great job, but it is time for something new. Cesaro could be that something new, but it looks like they’re trying to build a feud between him and Seth Rollins. Just before the Royal Rumble, Daniel Bryan was the favorite to win the Rumble, but that didn’t happen. Apparently, all things were pointing towards a Bryan vs. Reigns Mania main event, but it appears that this could be their way to give them a good PPV match. I’m interested to see how this plays out.

-       Men’s Elimination Chamber: WWE Championship

Drew McIntyre (C) vs. Randy Orton vs. Kofi Kingston vs. Sheamus vs. Jeff Hardy vs. AJ Styles

WWE

WWE

The WWE title will be on the line tonight inside the Chamber and the champ is a -400 favorite heading into the contest. McIntyre’s win probability drastically goes down in something like a chamber match, but that hasn’t stopped oddsmakers from making him the favorite. I personally think he drops the title tonight. On RAW, they made it a point to make it known that all of the competitors in the match are former WWE Champions. That tells me that we should be looking out for a former champion to win the belt again. Really, there is only one guy that should take him down and that is Sheamus. A lot of fans are buzzing at the possibility of Sheamus vs. McIntyre at WrestleMania but were concerned as to how they could build Sheamus up enough for a big match feel at Mania. The easiest way is to have him win the belt inside the brutal confines of the chamber. Sheamus is no slouch. He is a 4-time World Champion and can clearly carry the belt into WrestleMania as a big-time heel. With WrestleMania allowing 30,000 fans this year, I feel like they want to give McIntyre that big winning moment in front of fans for the first time in over a year.

-       Men’s Singles Match: Universal Championship

Roman Reigns (C) vs. ???

WWE

WWE

I don’t know when this match will take place on the card or who Roman will even face, but I think whatever happens it will be a good match. Reigns will not drop the title no matter what happens because not only will he be a fresh competitor, but it would be pretty stupid on WWE’s part to not feature Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania. When Edge won the Rumble, I immediately thought that he would be facing Drew McIntyre for the WWE Championship, but things change and it is pretty clear that they want a match between he and Roman Reigns. I’m interested to see all of this action unfold tonight and I guess we’ll worry about what happens at WrestleMania later.
