Song of the Day: Fire Lake
Fire Lake by Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band. Released in 1980 on the Against The Wind album, the song would go on to reach #6 on the US Billboard charts. Bob Seger had actually written part of the song nearly 10 years prior in 1971, but he never finished the lyrics until he finally did in 1979. A lot of time in songs, in the minor details that really set them apart and makes them a great song, and in this one I feel like it’s the back-up vocals singing “Who wants to go to fire lake?” And I did not know this until know but those backing vocals are actually Glenn Frey, Don Henley and Timothy Schmidt of The Eagles. So how about that lol that’s quite the crew to have doing back up vocals.
