Song of the Day: Don't Fear The Reaper
Don’t Fear The Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult. Released in 1976 on the band’s Agents of Fortune album. I’m not quite sure what you would consider Blue Oyster Cult, maybe progressive rock or psychedelic rock. But whatever it is, it’s rock and roll and it’s good stuff. Don’t Fear The Reaper charted in 12th on the billboard charts and was ranked in the 2003 Rolling Stones Greatest Songs of All-time List, while the album only topped out at 29 on the billboard but still went platinum. All these years later, and this song is still such a hit. To me that’s what makes Rock and Roll the greatest genre of music, it’s timeless. 50, 40, 30 years later and the music is still incredible.
