Song of the Day: Rio

We are starting off the weekend right with the synth-pop legend Duran Duran! The song, “Rio” was released in 1982 and made it as high as #14 on the US Billboard charts. When reading about the story of Rio…it appears that one of the band members was fascinated with Rio de Janeiro…but they opted to write the song about a woman named Rio…not the city.
