Song of the Day: Piece of My Heart

We’re going back to 1968 for today’s Song of the Day with “Piece of My Heart”. It was originally recorded by Erma Franklin a year prior, but the version most people know is from Big Brother and the Holding Company and that is the version that I’m going to feature. If you don’t recognize that name, then you probably recognize the voice of Janis Joplin. She was in the group from 1966-68. Another version that is popular especially among Country Music fans is Faith Hill’s cover. I hope you all have a great day today and have a great rest of your weekend.
