Song of the Day: Friend of the Devil

Friend of the Devil by The Grateful Dead. Before too long I think that I will have posted nearly every song from The Grateful Dead’s 1970 album, American Beauty. The second song on the album, Friend of the Devil is acoustic tune about somebody who lives a life of crime and is on the run from the law. The song has also been covered numerous times by artists like Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, John Mayer, Mumford & Sons, and a handful of other artists who have covered the song at live shows.
