Song of the Day: Sorry 2004

I’m going to kick off my New Year’s song of the day features off right. Now, Ruben Studdard had the right idea. Get all of your apologies out of the way before you start the year, so you don’t have to say sorry for a whole year. This is a classic R&B jam all the way back to, shocker, 2004. Well, actually it was released about 3 weeks prior to the change of the new year and it climbed all the way to number 2 on the R&B/Hip-Hop charts. Either way, I think even though this the title is back in 2004, I think we can definitely apply it to today. “This is my sorry for…” 2022. “And I ain’t gonna mistreat you” Does that work? Maybe I need to go songwriting school? Anyways, have a great January 2nd and I hope your year has gotten off to a good start so far.
