Song of the Day: Fake Plastic Trees

Happy Friday everyone! For today’s song of the day, we are going with the popular 90’s rock band Radiohead and their hit, “Fake Plastic Trees”. It got as high as #11 on the Alternative Airplay charts for Billboard. It has a smooth, soothing sound to it and the I think you’ll like it if you are into the 90’a UK alternative scene. A few years ago, I went and saw an orchestra do covers of Radiohead songs, and it was pretty remarkable. I wanted to feature a live version of this song as well, to showcase how good they are live. The meaning of the song can be debated, but it does seem to speak on the culture at the time, especially for those who felt like they couldn’t be themselves and show their true identity.
