Song of the Day: Silver Bells

Surprisingly enough, we haven’t chosen this song at all for our featured song and I don’t think we could’ve had a better version. This particular version is from Fats Domino and it was released on his debut Christmas album in 1993. It is amazing that he is in his 50s on this album and he sounds no different than when he was in his 20s. If you’re a local, my go-to Christmas radio station is an AM station. 63 Big Ways Radio (WAIZ/630AM) is the station and it is located in Hickory and if you are close to Hickory, you can catch the on 105.9FM as well or stream them online. They play good, classic oldies all year long, but after Thanksgiving, they crank up the great, oldies Christmas tunes. They play songs like this every December, so when you’re in your car, give them a listen and I think you’ll be hooked.
