Song of the Day: Dead Flowers
Dead Flowers by The Rolling Stones. A country tune featuring on the band’s 11th American studio album, Sticky Fingers, which was released in April of 1971. It was the first album released by the band without Brian Jones, who had passed away 2 years earlier. While Dead Flowers didn’t chart, the album itself was a huge hit. It hit #1 in pretty much every country and had incredible reviews by the music critics with pretty much everyone giving it 5 out of 5 stars. The album also featured Brown Sugar, Wild Horses and Can’t You Hear me Knocking. Apparently this song featured in The Big Lebowski which I’ve seen multiple times but can’t place where in the movie it’s played.
