Song of the Day: Foxy Lady (Live)

Foxy Lady performed live by The Jimi Hendrix Experience at the Miami Pop Festival in 1968. Foxy Lady was recorded in late 1966 and released in the UK in May of 67 and August of 67 in the US, which is when the band’s debut album, Are You Experienced was released. I assume the difference in the release date had something to do with it being the band’s debut album, but still kind of wild that the US had to wait 3 months to hear an album that was near the top of the charts in the UK. Foxy Lady never really hit the charts but it’s still one of the best song from the band’s stellar debut album as well as one of the best songs from the band itself. Foxy Lady, an all time rock and roll song.
