Song of the Day: Man of Constant Sorrow
Welcome everyone to a brand new week! I’m sure this has been posted as Song of the Day before, but it’s easily worthy of many appearances. “Man of Constant Sorrow” is an old folk tune that dates back to 1913, covered many times since, and given brand new life and much popularity when featured in the soundtrack of the hit film Oh Brother Where Art Thou in the year 2000. Though Clooney belts out the lyrics as the frontman for the Soggy Bottom Boys in the movie, it is actually Dan Tyminski on lead vocals, along with Harley Allen and Pat Enright. This is such a fun song to listen to and sing along with, so I hope you enjoy it too.
