Song of the Day: Jumpin' Jack Flash

We’re traveling back to 1968 with this classic rock tune by The Rolling Stones. In fact it was released on May 24 in the UK, so it just celebrated it’s 54th year since release. I wanted to dive a little deeper into this and I like to go back and look at current events during that time. This weekend is a big one for NASCAR fans and especially those in our area. The Coca-Cola 600 is tonight and it should be an interesting race, but the race itself is one with a deep history. Back in 1968, Buddy Baker took the checkered flag in a rain shortened race at Charlotte and my featured song today was freshly debuted to airwaves for only two days. They likely weren’t listening to this song that day, but they possibly were for the next Charlotte race. I don’t know. Anyways, I hope you all have a good weekend.
