Song of the Day: Don't Fence Me In

Happy Friday everyone! On this last day of September, I have decided to keep up with the old, vintage music and play you, “Don’t Fence Me In” by Bing Crosby with The Andrews Sisters. Like a lot of my older music that I pick, this is also off of Fallout radio. Bing Crosby has one of the most unique voices and the combo with the great Andrews Sisters create a musical masterpiece. The song was written in 1934, but this version is from 1944. This version also stayed #1 for eight straight weeks as well. While reading Wikipedia, I noticed that Bing Crosby and The Andrews Sisters only had 30 minutes to rehearse this song and this was the result. Who knows, I can believe that, as they were Uber-talented artists. There were also MANY different versions of this song and you can read all about them in the link above.
