Song of the Day: Angie

Angie by The Rolling Stones. Released in 1973 on the album Goats Head Soup. The song will be 50 years old this August, yet 50 years later it’s still an incredible tune. Angie went to #1 in 8 different countries including the US, but not including the band’s home country of the UK where it only peaked at #5. To me this song by The Rolling Stones is very similar to Wild Horses, which is probably why I’m also a big fan of this song too. The slow, melodic tune with acoustic guitar. The Rolling Stones were quite versatile but this might just be favorite style by the band.
