Song of the Day: Lever Pulled

Lever Pulled, the second song from John Frusciante’s seventh solo album Curtains, which was released in February of 2005. I’ve never really listened to John Frusciante’s solo stuff until recently. I remember in the past that The Past Recedes was posted as song of the day, which is another song from this album. I listened to that song again recently which led to me listening to the rest of the album. If you were unfamiliar the Red Hot Chili Peppers and John Frusciante and you heard a RHCP song and a song from this album, you’d never guess they were related in any way. The whole album is mostly short 2-3 min acoustic songs with Frusciante on vocals as well and just a few electric guitar moments mixed in. It’s a really nice album to listen to and has an alternative/folk rock vibe.
