Song of the Day: Leaving Louisiana in the Broad Daylight
We are coming at you on Saturday today with another great song to start out your day. I was listening to our local country station WAME and heard this classic by The Oak Ridge Boys called, “Leaving Louisiana in the Broad Daylight”. It is such a catchy song and not to mention, The Oak Ridge Boys have such a unique, smooth sound. It is pretty easy to understand what the song means, it’s about a girl who has enough of her hometown in Louisiana and decides to leave. Of course this song hit number one in February of 1980 and stayed there for awhile. Maybe you’ll catch yourself singing this one, matching the dips in the pitch and have some fun listening to some classic country music. Have a great weekend folks!
