Song of the Day: After the Love Has Gone

Oh yeah! Are you ready for some R&B and Soul this morning? Earth, Wind & Fire is a band that hasn’t been featured on here very often, but I happened to hear this song yesterday and I knew I had to pick it. “After the Love Has Gone” is such a great, relaxing song. I am a sucker for this mellow type of music and this one has all the features of a great soul song. The rhythm in it is outstanding and the harmony is on point. It reminds me of a simpler time and a time where you can just chill out and forget about all your troubles, even if I wasn’t alive when it was released, I still feel it. The song was released in 1979 and a fun fact..the Charlotte Hornets played it after every loss at home...They could have played it a lot this year.
