WWE Money in the Bank (2023) Predictions
I almost forgot about Money in the Bank being today. It is in London, so it won’t be a normal night time event for us in the US. The show starts at 3. There are 7 matches on the card and it looks like a very solid card. I don’t want to waste much time with an intro, so I am going to just dive right in.
*Predicted Winners are bolded
- Men’s Singles Match: Intercontinental Championship
Gunther (C) vs. Matt Riddle
This should be an interesting matchup, but I say there is very little chance that we will see a new champion here. Gunther is currently the massive favorite at -2000
- Women’s Tag Team Match: WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship
Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler (C) vs. Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez
There will be greener pastures for Liv and Raquel, but not today. I don’t anticipate Ronda and Shayna dropping the belts after only 31 days as champs. Look for them to continue their reign for quite a while.
- Men’s Singles Match
Dominik Mysterio vs. Cody Rhodes
This was somewhat of an odd feud, but it has been pretty solid. I don’t know how much longer they will continue it, especially with SummerSlam just around the corner, but it has been a fun matchup so far. I don’t think there is a real chance that Dominik wins here though.
- Men’s Singles Match: World Heavyweight Championship
Seth Rollins (C) vs. Finn Balor
This match may be end up being the best on the card. These are two of the best when it comes to in-ring action and I don’t think the match will disappoint. With that being said, I think Rollins will keep the belt. They need to establish their first champion for this belt for prestige reasons and it would surprise me a little bit if it changes hands so soon.
- Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Zelina Vega vs. Becky Lynch vs. Bayley vs. Trish Stratus vs. Zoey Stark vs. Iyo Sky
Oddsmakers seem to think that Iyo Sky will win the briefcase, so I think I will agree with them. There are a number of options that you could go with here and honestly, you could make a case for all of these women, but Iyo Sky and Zelina Vega are the two that pop out at me that could use a push like this. The rest of them are in established stories other than Bayley, but Bayley doesn’t need a briefcase at this point in her career. Neither does Becky. I will take Iyo Sky, but these are always interesting, so whoever gets it, it should be a fun match to watch.
- Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Ricochet vs. LA Knight vs. Logan Paul vs. Damian Priest vs. Santos Escobar vs. Butch
LA Knight is favored in this match, but I don’t think he will win the match. I think he will end up with the briefcase when all is said and done, but I don’t think he will win it tonight. He and Logan Paul have a hot feud right now and I think they are going to capitalize on it. Logan Paul is going to weasel his way to the top and grab the briefcase and be as annoying as possible for a month and LA Knight will defeat him at SummerSlam for the briefcase. That is what I’m thinking anyways. It would be awesome if they totally scrap the idea of either two of them winning and have a wildcard like Shinsuke win or Butch. I doubt it will happen, but it would be cool if it did.
- Men’s Tag Team Match
Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa vs. The Usos
The time has come, and the Bloodline Civil War has begun. This story has captivated the WWE Universe for nearly 3 years and it is entering its final chapter. Well, there may be a couple more chapters, but it is close to the final stages. On SmackDown they teased that Solo may be next to turn against the Tribal Chief, so I think they will win the match, but Solo will somehow turn his back on Roman. Whether that will be during or after the match, I am not sure, but The Bloodline is continuing to crumble, and it should be great entertainment for the last match of the night.
