Song of the Day: Peaches

Oh yea, it’s Friday and everyone at The Sports Chief is pumped for it! Today’s song of the day ties into a local event that will be taking place in downtown Wilkesboro tomorrow, Saturday July 29th called The Brushy Mountain Peach and Heritage Festival. Without seeing the video below, you can probably assume this is the famous song, “Peaches” by The Presidents of the United States of America. Being that at least a couple of us on The Sports Chief have History degrees, we do like our research into things of yore. Tomorrow, I will be volunteering with the Wilkes Heritage Museum to help out with the festival, so if you are in the area and have a desire for some fresh peaches and fruit, drive up to Wilkesboro and chill out! I know I will be looking for the slushee tables for sure! I hope you all enjoy and stay cool on this hot July day and have a great weekend!
