Best Bets of the Day (March 17th)
Tis’ Saint Paddy’s Day and hopefully the luck of the Irish will spread to our betting ventures today. Yesterday, was another dud day. Tottenham got eviscerated by Fulham. The Sabres ended their hot streak and the Red Wings ended their icy cold one. However, the Rangers saved us from a blank. They looked fantastic in a high-scoring affair against the Penguins yesterday afternoon. Today, luck needs to be on our side for at least one bet, but I think I have some solid bets for you today. It is a good mix and I am stepping out of the box a little bit with one bet today. Also, all of the bets below are set to start at 1pm EST. Let’s get into it!

Auburn (ML) (-230) vs. Florida
I personally don’t love these odds, but I do think that the Tigers will claim the SEC Championship. I don’t feel particularly safe enough to put the spread on them, but Auburn is red-hot right now. Auburn has the edge defensively and offensive efficiency, so that is a big reason why I like them today. Bruce Pearl knows how to get his teams playing meaningful basketball in March and I predict that he leads the Tigers to victory today.

Charlotte (ML) (-195) vs. UNC Wilmington
Since it is St. Patrick’s Day, I had to put a little green in my lineup, right? Well, I have a good green team for you today. That green team is none other than my alma mater, UNC Charlotte. Their baseball team has been consistently decent for the last 30 years and I think that they’re a safe bet today against Wilmington at home. You can catch the action on ESPN+. Keep an eye on Junior OF, Thad Ector today. He is smacking the ball this season.

NY Rangers (-1.5) (+145) vs. New York Islanders
We picked the Rangers yesterday and they treated us well. Today, they will have the Islanders at home and will have Igor Shesterkin guarding the crease. I could’ve easily gone with a puck line victory for the Rangers yesterday afternoon, but the ML odds weren’t bad, so I decided to play it safe. The Islanders were really hot going into the week, but have dropped 3 straight, so I think that their luck is running low right now. The Rangers are a wagon and I think the puck line should be no issue for them today at MSG, with their superstar goalie.
Auburn Basketball (ML); Charlotte Baseball (ML); NY Rangers (-1.5)
3-Bet Parlay: +431
I think these are my lowest odds for a parlay that I have had all week for my Best Bets articles, but +431 is still a solid number. The only one I feel iffy about is the Charlotte baseball, but that is only because college baseball can be a bit uncertain, even if the team you bet on is clearly better. I just wanted to switch things up today because I felt like it was college basketball and hockey non-stop. Also, I would put NBA in there, but there aren't many NBA bets that I have loved this week. Most spreads are double digits at this time of year. Happy and safe betting on this St. Patrick’s Day Sunday.
