Charlotte Checkers Weekly Update (Nov. 16)
If you’re around the Charlotte area and you are not coming out to support your Charlotte Checkers, you are really missing out. The Checkers are not only on top of the Atlantic Division, but are leading the entire AHL in points with 23. They have piled up 11 wins so far this season, with just 3 losses, which is quite impressive. Tonight and tomorrow they will be on the road facing off against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins who are 4th in the Atlantic, 5 points behind the Checkers. Coming off two losses, and an overtime loss, in their last four games, it’s time for the Checkers to right the ship and get back to their winning ways. If you are not able to catch the action tonight and tomorrow night on AHLTV, make sure to come out to Bojanagles’ Coliseum next Tuesday and Wednesday to watch the Checkers take on the Belleville Senators. Both games start at 7:00 p.m. and tickets start at $12. Also next Wednesday will be $1 beer night, as well as Teacher Appreciation night with discounted tickets for teachers. Don’t miss the action, as things will be hot in the Coliseum all season long!
