TLC Predictions
TLC hasn’t had much of a build and that has some fans concerned, but I think it will be a solid show tonight. The card honestly looks a little underwhelming, but I’m still anxious to see the outcome of these matches. At the moment, there are 7 matches and I honestly hope it stays that way because I think it could be the perfect amount. Some stipulations seem weird at the moment, but hopefully they make more sense tonight. Here are my predictions for the last PPV of 2019.
* Predicted Winners are bolded
* Match card is likely not in the correct order
- Women’s TLC Tag Team Match: WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship
The Kabuki Warriors (C) vs. Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair
This is a match that I kinda thought would’ve happened a few months ago, but here we are and it should be a great match. The match is under the TLC stipulation and I’m expecting to see some good wrestling here. With that being said, it is honestly a tough decision to predict here. I think Lynch and Flair go over, but I don’t have an adamant reason to pick them, because I don’t know what they would potentially have planned for the future. The Kabuki Warriors will have a 69-day reign going into the match, but if they are going to drop the titles, I think it will be here. The Kabuki Warriors are currently favored at -230, which is a solid favoring, but this could be the first sign of the team moving into more singles competition going forward. I guess we will see.
- Men’s Singles Match
Aleister Black vs. Buddy Murphy
Black vs. Murphy has match of the night potential, but I honestly would’ve liked a stipulation added to the match. Nevertheless, it is still great to see these guys getting featured on a PPV and I anticipate seeing a lot of great in-ring action tonight. Black seems to be a bigger draw at the moment, so I think he goes over here. He has been underutilized since moving to RAW, but hopefully that will change pretty soon, because he probably has more potential than anyone in the WWE. The same goes for Murphy. He is a great, yet underutilized talent that needs a little bit of spotlight, hopefully they both get their shine here.
- Men’s Tag Team Ladder Match: SmackDown Tag Team Championship
The New Day (C) vs. The Revival
I didn’t know which contest was going to get the ladder match, but I’m glad to see it is this one. I wouldn’t be shocked to see The Revival win here, but I think it will go to the New Day tonight. This seems like it will be a hard fought and old-school match between two of the best tag teams in the WWE. Big E and Kofi are the current favorites to retain at -265, but again, I could see it going either way.
- Men’s Tables Match
Rusev vs. Bobby Lashley (w/ Lana)
Although most fans hated this feud from the start, I never minded it and I wanted to see where it ended up. It looks like we could see it coming to an end, but maybe they can continue to build on the feud. This is another match that could go to either performer, but Rusev definitely has the momentum at the moment. This match currently has the tightest odds, but Rusev is currently favored at -150. Lana will definitely be a factor here, but I’m still unsure how she will factor in here. She will likely ‘inadvertently’ go through a table at some point, but I think Lashley will get the win here and the momentum moving forward. Despite Rusev having the momentum going into the PPV, I think we are finally going to get that highly anticipated Brock Lesnar vs. Bobby Lashley match at Royal Rumble. This is a total gut-feeling, but I think it is a strong possibility.
- Men’s Tag Team Match: RAW Tag Team Championship
The Viking Raiders (C) vs. TBD
I obviously don’t have a clue who will be the mystery team, but I think I have a good idea who it will be. This has an AOP appearance written all over it. The Raiders will have a 61-day reign going into the match, but if their opponents are indeed AOP, it will come to an end. Now that AOP is aligned with Seth Rollins, I cannot see them losing in the near future. In case it isn’t AOP, I’m not sure who it could be. Unless it is The O.C. or possibly The Usos making a return, I can’t see it being anyone else and I can’t really see The Viking Raiders losing to any team at the moment other than AOP.
- Men’s Single Match
Bray Wyatt vs. The Miz
I would say that this is the safest match to predict, but I honestly don’t think that it is the case. As you notice, the matchup isn’t The Fiend vs. The Miz and it isn’t for the title, which I think are both red flags. The Miz could honestly go over here. I’m not at all expecting a squash match, but the odds makers seem to think otherwise. They have Wyatt favored at -1250. Although I picked Wyatt here, I think The Miz has a really good chance to win to keep things in check with Wyatt and his Fiend character moving forward. The Fiend is without a doubt the most unbeatable opponent on the WWE roster, but is Bray Wyatt beatable? Of course he is. It will be interesting to see where Daniel Bryan will factor in, but it will be cool to see Firefly Bray Wyatt in his debut match.
- Men’s TLC Match
Roman Reigns vs. King Corbin
This is an odd stipulation considering that neither are champs, but it should be a solid match regardless. I personally think this is the safest pick on the card and the odds say it is very safe, with Roman favored at -910. The dog food segment was stupid in my opinion, but the feud between Corbin and Roman has been good otherwise. There should be a lot of smashed tables and a good deal of weapons used here. It will be interesting to see if there is any outside interference also. Moving forward to the Royal Rumble however, you have to think that Roman Reigns is the favorite to win, but I guess we’ll find out when the time comes.
