Song of the Day: If Every Day Was Like Christmas
Happy Sunday after Christmas everyone! I wanted to remain in the holiday spirit for Song of the Day today and you absolutely can’t go wrong with a little bit of Elvis. If I had to choose one Christmas song from my favorite artist, I would probably pick this one. Mainly because it was uniquely his. I haven’t heard any main stream artists cover this song and hopefully they don’t. He released the song as a single in 1966 and it is now packaged with Elvis’s second and last Christmas album, Elvis Sings The Wonderful World of Christmas, but was not actually officially released on that album. The song was written by one of Elvis’s former Memphis Mafia members, Red West. If this is the last Christmas song you hear until next December, I personally think you couldn’t end the holiday season with a better one.
