Song of the Day: Working for the Weekend

Happy Labor Day to everyone! In honor of today being a holiday dedicated to give a break from working, our song of the day is going to follow the same theme. I’m sure you’ve all heard of “Working for the Weekend,” the famous Loverboy song that was released in 1981. Loverboy is a band from Canada and this song was from their second album, titled Get Lucky. It would reach #29 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart and be named #100 on VH1’s countdown of the 100 Best Songs of the 80s. I hope everyone enjoys their Labor Day and is ready for the approaching autumn season!
